Biography

Leslie Martínez, a seasoned health content expert, has over 17 years of experience focusing on improving the health of vulnerable migrants in the U.S. She held significant roles in the Mexican government, including at the Mexican Embassy in the US, Embassy in Spain, and consulates in Orlando and New York. Notably, as consul for community affairs in Orlando, Leslie pioneered projects like opening Health Windows at consulates and forming partnerships for Latino financial support. At the New York Consulate, she coordinated 51 Health Windows nationwide, enhancing health training for promotoras on critical topics like COVID-19 and mental health. Currently, as latino engagement manager at Compassion & Choices, Leslie employs her expertise to advance end-of-life decisions and eliminate disparities in Latino communities. She holds a Bachelor’s in International Relations and a Master’s in International Relations and Communications. Throughout her career, Leslie has actively engaged in conferences, webinars, and training programs nationwide, emphasizing Latino health issues.
