Biography

Ana Laura Cornejo, has a degree in Psychology, and also studied specialties in Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology and Existential Psychotherapy. She has conducted different trainings in Los Angeles, California, on sexual violence and crisis intervention for the East LA Women’s Center, and Psychological First Aid for Migrants at the UNAM headquarters in Los Angeles, California. Ana has participated as a volunteer in different international organizations for women and has held workshops on gender equality and self-help groups. She currently works at the East LA Women’s Center (ELAWC). She is a leading voice and advocate for survivors and their families affected by sexual, domestic and intimate partner violence, HIV/AIDS, and the intersection of homelessness.
