Carmen Aparicio

Carmen Aparicio has been a health Promotora since 2017 at Esperanza Community Housing. She is the Lead Promotora of ELAWC. She is also a Crisis Advisor at the shelter and collaborates with many organizations. She began her work as a promotora helping other families to empower themselves and find the resources they need. In 2018, she graduated as a Mental Health Promotora with Los Angeles County and since then she has been facilitating workshops for the community. Carmen was part of the organizing committee for the first Los Angeles County Mental Health community advocates conference.
