Raising Thriving Kids: Simple, Everyday Steps to Better Parenting

The training will support participants in the understanding of the development of assets that help children and adolescents succeed and achieve their goals.

Objectives:

1. Parents will learn how to utilize the 40 Developmental Assets as core values in order to teach their children/adolescents how to succeed in all aspects of life, academics, prevention of alcohol and drug use and abuse, and healthy living.
2. Parents will develop communication skills to empower themselves to address the cultural changes in today’s society.
3. Participants will receive handouts and materials that will assist them in implementing these values (40 Developmental Assets).
