Plenary: The Past, Present and Future of the Promotora as an Agent of Change*

Change is a powerful force that begins within each promotora. In this first plenary, a panel of promotoras will describe their transformative work by sharing the philosophy and the values of servicio de corazón inherent in promotoras and how this essence is vital to alleviating our communities’ present needs around family integration, emotional and mental wellness, housing, health, employment, and education. The panel will present paths for structuring change towards just and equitable opportunities, highlighting work in the area of workforce justice.
