Fighting CRC: Promoters Helping to Prevent Colorectal Cancer
This interactive workshop teaches promotores about colorectal health, different CRC screenings, and provides materials facilitating promotor community outreach. The workshop also provides a hands-on CRC screening demonstration and an opportunity for promotores to practice delivering information to community members.
Objectives
- Learn the different aspects of CRC: how it spreads, types of tumors, stages of cancer, prevention and treatment.
- Practice their presentation skills using workshop materials.
- Explain the importance of CRC screening and prevention to Latino community members.
