Resilience: When I Felt More Like Dying, I Regained Insight for Living

This workshop guides promotores through a reflection in three parts: 1) To have a desire to be alive by recognizing the restoring power generated when truly wanting to be alive; 2) the sense of being alive is based in knowing and valuing oneself; and 3) feeling alive so we can learn to detect suicidal behaviors in order to be able to help others experience the genuine feeling of wanting to be alive.

Objectives:

  1. To dialogue about wanting to be alive, a sense of living and feeling alive.
  2. To reflect on how to cultivate the power of critical thinking, healthy thoughts, and encouraging phrases; resilience, cerebral plasticity, and the art of flowing with life.
  3. To learn how to detect the discouragement of the suicidal person, to listen, and to give him/her encouragement and knowing how to transfer it.
