Climate Change Ambassadors: Developing Leaders
The Climate Ready Ambassador program from El Concilio is based on the model that the local scale must lead the response to the challenge posed by climate change. This workshop will address the program’s focus on education and community empowerment in the area of environmental justice, how to expand the role of promotoras and promotores as leaders in the fight for it, and how to replicate this program in other communities.
- Describe the key components of the Climate Ready Ambassadors model and its application in other communities.
- Identify at least three connections between climate change and the work of promotoras.
- Develop an initial strategy to integrate environmental justice into your community work.
