Sonia Escobedo

Sonia Escobedo was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and moved to East Palo Alto, where she was raised in a community that shaped her commitment to equity and access. She is currently studying Business Administration with a secondary specialization in Environmental Sciences at Cañada College. Through her work as a Special Projects Fellow, she has developed a deep commitment to strengthening the systems that support underserved communities throughout San Mateo County. Her role allows her to contribute to cross-program initiatives, community outreach, and the coordination of efforts that connect residents to essential resources. Sonia hopes to continue building her skills and contributing to the community-centered work at El Concilio.
