Breathe, Let Go, and Live: A Workshop for Managing Stress
In this workshop, promotoras and promotores will be offered practical tools to manage stress from a holistic perspective: body, mind, and relationships. It is specifically aimed at community health workers, who face significant emotional burdens without sufficient self-care spaces. The purpose is to strengthen individual well-being as the foundation for collective resilience, in alignment with the theme of the conference. Participants will learn to identify, release, and transform their stress to live with greater balance.
- Understand what stress is, its causes, and how the body and mind respond to challenging or overwhelming situations.
- Identify the consequences of chronic stress on physical, emotional, and social health, both at the individual and community levels.
- Identify and practice self-care strategies to sustain personal well-being and community work in a healthy way.
