Biography

Berenice Castro holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychopedagogy and a Master’s in Education from UNAM, and is certified as a Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist by the Universidad de San Ignacio, Miami. With more than 25 years of experience in education, therapy, and human development, she holds solid certifications in lay counseling, mental health, and holistic wellness promotion. She is currently expanding her professional profile by training as a Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist. She also serves as Director of Special Projects and Wellness at the organization Mujeres Unidas Sirviendo Activamente, work she complements independently through her private practice, where she offers specialized therapeutic support in emotional health. In the community, she is recognized as a certified yoga and pilates instructor and a Functional Aging specialist. She actively promotes a healthy lifestyle by teaching these disciplines on a volunteer basis at Spain Park, located in the city of Paramount.
