Virginia Isaías was the victim of a human trafficking network, and was kidnapped in Mexico along with her daughter who was still breastfeeding. Virginia was forced into prostitution for months and her daughter was sold. She was finally able to escape and although some wounds are undoubtedly lasting, in her case, as she herself says, “they could hurt her body, but they can never touch my soul”. She is the founder of the “Human Trafficking Survivors Foundation”, whose mission is to help all those who are or have been victims of human trafficking to restore their lives.
