Biography

Paula Torrado Plazas is the Program Director of the Office of Environmental Health Education, Community Engagement, and Cumulative Impacts Science (OECC) at the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment in the California Environmental Protection Agency. She leads statewide efforts advancing environmental health education, community and Tribal engagement, cumulative impacts science, and risk communication. Her work focuses on bridging science and community knowledge to advance environmental justice and public health. She is committed to building collaborative, community-centered approaches that ensure environmental health information is accessible, actionable, and responsive to the needs of California’s most impacted communities.
