Biography
Dr. Laura Baz, known as “Burbujita,” is a Therapeutic Clown, Laughter Therapist, and Promotora with extensive training in emotional well-being and laughter dynamics as a healing tool. She is a creator of connection, joy, and resilience in vulnerable communities, with diverse experience spanning schools, hospitals, nursing homes, wellness events, mental health programs, leadership conferences, and community organizations supporting marginalized populations. Her professional expertise includes individual and group laughter therapy, joy-based emotional wellness strategies, and playful community mental health interventions. Laura holds certifications as a Therapeutic Clown and Humanitarian Medical Clown, and is a certified Laughter Yoga Leader with training in pedagogy and community leadership. As a Mexican immigrant who became a volunteer parent with LAUSD, she gained deep insights into community needs, transforming her into a passionate Community Health Worker and Social Leader. An active member of the San Fernando Valley and Antelope Valley Regional Committee of Visión y Compromiso, Laura also volunteers with the Red Cross, continuously dedicating herself to supporting and empowering communities through innovative, compassionate approaches to health and well-being.
