The Emotional Map of Grief

Every person, without exception, will go through some kind of loss. Learning the five stages of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance) serves as an emotional map. It helps normalize your feelings, reduce guilt, and understand that grief is not linear—allowing you to process losses at your own pace. Promotoras and promotores will learn to validate their emotions, avoid self-imposed pressure, and improve empathy regarding the grief process.

  • Understand the stages of grief.
  • Validate emotions without judgment.
  • Provide support with compassion.
