Marianela Moran
Biography
Marianela Moran brings a wealth of expertise to the field of accessibility and inclusion as a seasoned freelance translator with over 40 years of experience. Her collaboration with the American Printing House (APH) for the Blind spans 15 years, during which she has played a pivotal role in translating essential documents into Spanish, including the newly updated Getting Started Guide, which will be released in Spanish at this conference. In addition to her freelance work with APH, Marianela is a retired ID Coordinator for the UF Lastinger Center for Learning. In this capacity, she oversaw the translation of educational materials into Spanish and Haitian Creole, championing equitable access to education for diverse communities. Marianela has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from New York University and a master’s degree in Spanish Education from the prestigious Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca in Spain.Marianela also presented at the 2024 Visión y Compromiso Conference.
