Biography
Ms. Margarita Rocha is the Executive Director of Centro La Familia Advocacy Services (CLFA), guiding the organization in the design and implementation of successful programs that focus on serving in a holistic manner that acknowledges and respects the cultural issues of the families they serve. Her work has transformed CLFA into an important resource for the Hispanic/Latino community, growing the agency from five to nearly one hundred staff, across four locations in Fresno County. A strong and determined advocate, Margarita’s career began in the 1970s. Her work has taken her to Washington D.C. and Cleveland, Ohio, working for the Office for Civil Rights with the Department of Health, Education and Welfare and co-founding the League of United Latin American Citizens chapter in Cleveland. With more than five decades of experience, Ms. Rocha has created services to uplift victims of serious crimes, strengthen families, promote health, and empower immigrant communities.
