Biography
Juana Carbajal began her career as an agricultural worker, serving as a packer and picker of table grapes. She later became involved with the United Farm Workers (UFW), where she worked as an organizer for five years, advocating for farmworkers and their communities. She then joined the United Farm Workers Foundation (UFWF), where she gained experience in immigration services and started as a promotor(a), connecting families with essential resources. Currently, Juana supervises community organizers in Kern County and in the Oxnard area, focusing on education, immigration updates, and community resources. Juana is also part of La Red de Promotoras y Trabajadores Comunitarios as a member of the Kern committee. She is committed to strengthening communities through advocacy, education, and access to fundamental support services.
