Gloria Medina
Biography
Gloria leads SCOPE’s grassroots base-building efforts in South Central Los Angeles. With over 30 years of experience in building community power through grassroots organizing, leadership development, and policy advocacy, SCOPE seeks to create transformative racial and economic justice. Since joining SCOPE 17 years ago, Gloria has played a key role in the growth of SCOPE’s movement-building efforts and expansion of health equity campaigns. Gloria’s expertise lies in developing and delivering training programs focused on community organizing, integrated voter engagement, and landscape analysis. She has also provided technical assistance to numerous coalitions and supported local and national equity initiatives as an Adviser, Trainer, and Facilitator. Her work has focused on driving systemic change related to oral health disparities, economic opportunities, and climate change impacts. Gloria holds a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
