Biography

Denise Campos has over 15 years of professional experience in public affairs, government relations and community engagement. Campos works at SoCalGas, the nation’s largest natural gas distribution company, as a Public Affairs Manager covering 13 cities in Los Angeles County. Campos’ career in public service spanned a decade, working for several Los Angeles City elected officials and the Commission for Children, Youth and Their Families.

Campos was appointed to serve two terms on the California State Architect’s Board, the City of Los Angeles El Pueblo Historic Monument Authority Commission and is currently serving on the East Area Planning Commission, where she was appointed by Mayor Eric Garcetti.

Campos received bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Mexican-American Studies from San Diego State University and is the first in her family to have graduated from college.

She is passionate about creating opportunities for others and serves on the boards of the Los Angeles Trade-Tech College Foundation, the YMCA Urban Council, and several Chamber of Commerce boards.
