Charité Ricker
Biography
Charité Ricker, MS, CGC, is a Cancer Genetic Counselor and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC). She directs the cancer genetic counseling program at the Los Angeles County General Medical Center, where she established these services in 2008. With nearly 25 years of experience, her work focuses on expanding access to genetic services for underserved populations. As a Spanish-speaking genetic counselor, she is committed to improving healthcare access for Hispanic and Latino communities. Her research focuses on the impact of genetic services in diverse populations and on the communication of genetic information within families. She is also actively involved in cancer genetics education and in the development of clinical guidelines at the local, national, and international levels.
