Seeing Beyond Diabetes: Protecting Your Eyesight
In this workshop, promotoras and promotores will increase awareness and understanding of diabetic eye disease in the Latino community. Latinos are disproportionately affected by diabetes, with a higher risk of developing related complications. Diabetic eye disease, including diabetic retinopathy, is a leading cause of vision loss among working-age adults. This workshop will explain why early and regular eye screenings are so important. You’ll learn how managing your diabetes can protect your vision, maintain your independence, and secure a brighter future for you and your family. Join us to learn how to see beyond your diabetes and take proactive steps to protect your sight.
