In this workshop, promotoras and promotores will discuss how concerns about the Public Charge rule keep immigrant communities from applying for vital public benefits programs like SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid. We will explore the Public Charge rule for immigrant families, including changes that will occur in 2025 due to the new administration. Participants will receive messaging examples about how to use public benefits and learn the basics of the Public Charge test and messaging strategies for their community.
