Biography

Margarita Ramirez is a Health Educator with a background in Public Health, specializing in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. Growing up in a Mexican household, she experienced firsthand the impact of chronic health conditions and barriers to accessing medical care, which shaped her commitment to advancing health equity and supporting under-resourced communities. Throughout her career, Margarita has worked with diverse populations to promote wellness through culturally relevant, accessible education. She is passionate about meeting people where they are and ensuring that health information and resources are practical, inclusive, and meaningful. She believes that access to care is not just about providing services, but also about ensuring that communities know about and are connected to the resources available to them. In her current role as a sexual and reproductive health educator, Margarita focuses on creating inclusive learning environments that empower individuals—including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities—to access accurate information and make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
