Unidos: Mobilizing Communities for People’s Health
This workshop will focus on the essential role as both, health workers and socio-cultural links that promotores play in community mobilization projects from a community health worker/promotor perspective, a coordinator perspective, and a managerial perspective.
Objectives:
- Participants will describe what community mobilization is and its importance in projects related to promotores.
- Participants will discuss challenges and successes experienced during the course of the Unidos community mobilization project.
- Participants will develop ideas for how to form effective, stronger connections between promotores and medical providers in the context of community mobilization programs.
