Listening With Empathy and Making Empathy Books
Through interactive games amd activities this workshop will develop your empathic listening skills and book-making abilities with children. We will dive into the practice of developing emotional vocabulary and begin to develop a reflective practice to increase awareness of children’s feelings. Steps for making empathy books with children will be provided, and you will get to make your own empathy book.
Objectives:
- Promotores will develop their understanding of emotional intelligence and empathic listening, which will result in building their resiliency.
- Promotoras will be able to use empathic listening as a skill to decrease their own stress and teach others these skills.
- Promotores will have a better understanding of the importance of making empathy books with children, and will gain the skills to make books and teach others how to make them.
